History in the making as Setsuko secures his second consecutive Teamfight Tactics (TFT) tournament win, tying with TL Kurumx for the most wins in Set Nine and 9.5. Despite the element of randomness in TFT, winning back-to-back tournaments requires skill and expertise. Critics may argue that luck plays a significant role, but dominating rotating lobbies filled with the best players in the NA region during two separate tournaments is a testament to Setsuko’s exceptional abilities.
Setsuko’s victory at the NA Noxus Cup was his second tournament win this season, following his triumph at the Runeterra Reforged Shurima Cup in Set Nine. His performance during the Noxus Cup was truly remarkable, setting a new TFT record for the best overall tournament performance with an average placement of 1.92 over 13 games.
However, Setsuko is not alone in achieving this feat. TL Kurumx has also claimed two TFT tournament titles this season, emerging victorious in the Freljord Cup and the Mid-Set Finale. Both players have made history by winning two tournaments in a season that only features four events, excluding the Last Chance Qualifier. They will now compete in the Runeterra Reforged Regional Finals later this month, aiming to secure a second Worlds title for the NA region.
Don’t miss the opportunity to watch Setsuko and TL Kurumx in action at the upcoming TFT Set 9.5 Runeterra Reforged Regional Finals, scheduled from October 27th to 29th.
