PSG Returns to Dota 2 with Quest Esports Partnership for TI 2023

PSG makes a bold comeback to Dota 2 by teaming up with Quest Esports for The International 2023

PSG is making a surprising return to the Dota 2 scene by joining forces with Quest Esports just in time for The International 2023. This unexpected partnership signifies PSG’s ambitious comeback and their desire to make a statement at this prestigious event.

The new team, known as PSG Quest, will be competing in TI 2023 this month. It’s a significant move for them as they aim to showcase their new branding and leave a lasting impression on the Dota 2 community.

This collaboration between PSG and Quest comes shortly after PSG ended their partnership with LGD on September 4th. PSG and LGD had been partners since 2018, achieving top-three finishes at The International three times during their collaboration.

The Dota 2 community has had mixed reactions to this move. Some believe that Quest’s already substantial resources, combined with PSG’s involvement, could potentially make them too powerful compared to other organizations. This is due to PSG being owned by Qatar Sports Investments, and Quest Esports also being a Qatar-based organization.

However, it’s important to note that Quest has already achieved success on their own before this partnership. They have proven themselves by winning the Western Europe Winter League Division Two and placing well in subsequent leagues and tournaments.

While their recent performances may have dipped slightly, Quest still remains a strong contender. Some fans jokingly speculate that the new PSG partnership might result in a second or third-place finish at TI 2023, similar to LGD’s past achievements. Nevertheless, this would still be a remarkable accomplishment for the underdogs.

PSG Quest’s first match in TI 2023 is scheduled for October 13th against Keyd Stars.
