Rising Star: Demon1 Takes the VALORANT Scene by Storm

superadmin

Over the past year, the professional VALORANT scene has witnessed the emergence of several new stars, including a North American prodigy who has established himself as the top player in the region and the world’s best rifler.

Max “Demon1” Mazanov has proven to be a formidable opponent in head-to-head duels, winning an impressive 59 percent of his rifle-on-rifle encounters, according to RIB.gg. With 500 total engagements, he surpassed renowned players like Fnatic’s Emir “Alfajer” Beder and Natus Vincere’s Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin.

Before joining Evil Geniuses, the 21-year-old had limited experience competing at the highest level, having played for only one other team in his short career. Despite being relatively unknown in the VCT scene, Demon1 quickly became an invaluable member of the roster and a favorite among North American fans.

Demon1’s prowess with a rifle is unparalleled. He consistently achieved one of the highest average combat scores during VCT Americas this year. As the year progressed, he helped lead Evil Geniuses to a second-place finish at Masters Tokyo and ultimately played a crucial role in their victory at VALORANT Champions, where he was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

At VALORANT Champions, Demon1 elevated his game to another level, averaging an astounding 20 kills per map with a devastating 246 ACS, according to Liquipedia. He ranked second in total kills, just behind duelist extraordinaire Erick “aspas” Santos, while also boasting a tournament-leading headshot rate of 39 percent.

Looking ahead, Demon1 must continue to build upon his success as teams undergo changes and star-studded rosters begin to form for the upcoming season. With his exceptional skills and track record, he is poised to solidify his position as one of the game’s top players.
