Starfield players are disappointed with the lack of clothing choices in the game, particularly when compared to previous Bethesda releases. The absence of sunglasses and other casual clothing options has left players feeling like the game is incomplete. This, along with other missing features and a lack of diversity, has led to speculation that the developers may have overreached and run out of time to deliver a fully fleshed-out game.
Players are puzzled as to why they can’t buy or find all the clothing options available for NPCs. Stores like Seigarts Outfitters offer a limited selection, leaving players wanting more. One player even pointed out the absence of glasses and sunglasses, which seems odd considering the increased exposure to sun radiation in space. In previous Bethesda games like Fallout, players had a wide range of sunglasses and apparel to choose from, adding to the immersive experience. Glasses could even provide buffs to enhance perception.
While players hope that the developers will address this issue through DLC in the future, they currently feel that being a space explorer in Starfield is lacking without the ability to customize their appearance with cool sunglasses and other clothing options.
