Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind Apex Legends and Titanfall, recently released a surprise teaser that left many fans hoping for news about Titanfall 3. However, their hopes were dashed as the teaser turned out to be an announcement for a new character in Apex Legends.
The teaser video, uploaded on YouTube on October 20th, introduced a playable character named Conduit. While Conduit seems like an interesting addition to Apex Legends, fans were understandably disappointed that there was no mention of Titanfall 3.
On the same day, a Reddit thread emerged where players expressed their disappointment and frustration. Instead of getting a new installment in the beloved Titanfall franchise, all they received was another character for Apex Legends, which already has a large roster.
Respawn Entertainment introduced Conduit through a typical character announcement video, providing some background information. Conduit’s story revolves around her memories of Titan, whose operator sacrificed themselves to protect her town from Ion forces. Now grown up, Conduit aims to become an Apex Legend to support her family.
Despite the lack of news about Titanfall 3, some fans remain hopeful that this new Apex Legends character could be a hint that the developer is setting the stage for a continuation of the Titanfall story. With the recent resurgence of interest in Titanfall 2 due to an update, it’s not surprising that fans are eager to dive back into the game.
We can only hope that Respawn Entertainment recognizes the dedication and love their fans have for the Titanfall series and rewards their patience with a new game. After such a long wait and unwavering support, Titanfall 3 would undoubtedly be a success.
