Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers a thrilling experience for fans with its multiple villains and two Spider-Men. However, there’s an exciting surprise for X-Men enthusiasts to discover. The game pays homage to Wolverine with an unlockable outfit that resembles his iconic suit.
The suit, called “The Best There Is,” closely resembles Wolverine’s attire from the X-Men comics. Initially, it features the black and red colors associated with Spider-Man, but players can unlock and equip the yellow variant reminiscent of Wolverine’s look.
Marvel aficionados will recognize the name “The Best There Is” from the 2010 comic run centered around Wolverine. Interestingly, Spider-Man does not make an appearance in this particular storyline.
This is the first glimpse we get of something Wolverine-related from Insomniac Games, but it certainly won’t be the last. The studio is currently working on a standalone Wolverine game, and many of the developers who worked on Spider-Man 2 are involved in its creation.
Since the announcement of the Wolverine game, anticipation has been steadily building. With the success of Spider-Man 2, the excitement is only expected to grow. However, there is no confirmed release date for the Wolverine game, and it is likely to launch in late 2024.
In the meantime, players can enjoy swinging through the city and saving citizens in Spider-Man 2, available exclusively on PS5. For those without a PS5, the original Marvel’s Spider-Man and its spinoff, Miles Morales, are available on PC.
