The highly anticipated Fallout series, based on the popular post-apocalyptic video game franchise from Bethesda, will be premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The official release date has been announced as April 12, 2024, according to a joint announcement from Bethesda and the show’s official Instagram account.
The show will take place in a post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles, which is part of the New California Republic in the Fallout canon. Vault 33, a significant location in the show’s plot, has been teased in promotional material.
The star-studded cast includes Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, and Dale Dickey. The show is being produced by Todd Howard, the executive producer and game director at Bethesda, along with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the talented duo behind HBO’s Westworld, who are also writing for the show.
When leaked pictures of the set surfaced, fans had mixed reactions. Some expressed concerns about the set looking “low budget,” while others were excited about Nolan and Joy’s involvement. Despite the anticipation, an official trailer for the show has yet to be released.
