Popular Call of Duty streamer and former professional player, Doug “Censor” Martin, has been banned on Twitch today due to his recent use of inflammatory and offensive language.
Last week, Censor used a homophobic slur during an argument with a player in MW2’s ranked play. Just two days later, he used a racist slur in another argument. As a result, he has now been banned from the platform.
Following the first incident, Censor posted a video on Twitter apologizing for his actions, stating that it goes against his personal beliefs and is not something he would say in his private life. However, he has not yet addressed the ban publicly.
Censor gained some level of fame during his relationship with Mexican weather girl, model, and actress Yanet Garcia. Although he no longer plays Call of Duty professionally, he has been on the bench for both the New York Subliners and Boston Breach in the CDL. Recently, his content has focused on exposing cheaters in ranked play.
It is unclear how long the ban will last, and Censor has not responded to requests for comment on the situation.
Throughout his career, Censor has played for organizations such as Envy, FaZe, and Complexity. Currently, he is a content creator for the Breach while playing for the organization’s Boston Academy team in CDL Challengers.
It remains to be seen if Censor will still be banned when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on Nov. 10.
