As one of the two Spider-Mans in the game, Miles Morales is of Puerto Rican descent, and the game aims to honor and showcase this heritage. The inclusion of the wrong flag was an oversight, and the development team is working on an update to replace it with the correct flag.
The mistake is understandable, as the Cuban and Puerto Rican flags have a similar design but differ in the arrangement of colors. However, given the importance of Miles’ heritage in his Spider-Man story, it is crucial to rectify this error.
The team member from Spider-Man 2 confirmed that an update is in progress, but no specific date was provided for the fix. In the meantime, players can proudly represent Puerto Rico by using the Boricua Spider-Suit while playing the game.
