The second week of Call of Duty’s The Haunting event is here, and with it comes the unlocking of the final six rewards, including the highly anticipated Ghoulie weapon camo. However, if you want to get your hands on this coveted item, you better have been grinding Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone and saving up Souls from the Halloween-themed “Soul Capture” event because it comes with a hefty price tag.
The Ghoulie camo is priced at a staggering 1,000 Captured Souls, which is a significant increase compared to the next-highest reward of just 200 Souls. Despite the high cost, the reward may be well worth it, as the Ghoulie camo offers a stunning animation that adds a unique touch to your weapons.
Recognizing that the price may be out of reach for many players, Activision and its developers have responded by increasing the drop rate and match cap of Souls for the remainder of the Soul Capture event. This update was implemented within 10 minutes of the new rewards becoming available, providing players with a better chance to earn the necessary Souls.
In Modern Warfare 2, players can now earn 18 Souls (previously 12) per match, while Warzone games offer an increased reward of 30 Souls (up from 18). These adjustments aim to make the journey towards acquiring the Ghoulie camo a bit more manageable for players.
However, even with these improvements, the grind will still be real for many who desire this beautifully animated weapon camo. Once obtained, the Ghoulie camo can be equipped on any MW2 weapon and will carry over to Modern Warfare 3 as well.
