Apex Season 19: Storm Point Gets a Makeover and New Map Rotation

Xavier Ward

Apex Legends Season 19 is bringing some exciting changes to Storm Point, aiming to improve its reputation among casual fans. The upcoming seasonal map rotation will give players ample opportunity to explore these updates. World director Eduardo Agostini confirmed that the map rotation for both casual and ranked play in Season 19 will include Storm Point, Olympus, and Broken Moon. Kings Canyon and World’s Edge will take a back seat after their prominence in Season 18 due to the Halloween event.

Storm Point was noticeably absent from Season 18’s map rotation, despite teasers throughout Season 17 hinting at an impending storm. Now, with the storm finally hitting the map, Storm Point returns with over 40 percent of the map receiving improvements to enhance its “fun factor,” as stated by Agostini.

Olympus, with its dedicated fan base, will continue to be part of the map rotation, delighting its followers. Broken Moon, as Apex’s newest map, also makes a return. Both maps have had less exposure compared to World’s Edge and Kings Canyon, especially considering temporary map takeovers during events.

The updates to Storm Point this season may also lead to tweaks in the Mixtape playlist, incorporating new points of interest (POIs) and changes to existing ones.

Apex Legends Season 19, Ignite, will launch on October 31 across all platforms.
