One of the most game-breaking exploits in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) has been discovered by popular CS YouTuber Zuhn. By limiting the game’s FPS to 32, players can achieve perfect bunnyhops consistently, adding to the list of bugs in CS2.
Zuhn shared a video on Oct. 28 showcasing the exploit on Nuke, which quickly gained attention across major platforms. While this exploit doesn’t allow players to bunnyhop at incredible speeds, it makes chained jumps highly consistent and easy to perform.
Even Zuhn himself, known for his skilled movement and gameplay, was surprised by the exploit. Despite being frequently accused of cheating, he confirmed that the bug does indeed work. “This isn’t a joke btw, go try it. You just scroll normally with fps_max 32 and they’re ALMOST all perfect bhops,” he clarified on Twitter.
To verify the video’s authenticity, I conducted my own testing and confirmed that the exploit works as described. Using the scroll wheel to jump results in chained hops, which can vary in speed depending on your movement skills. However, one notable aspect is that jumping doesn’t reduce your movement speed when the FPS is limited to 32.
It’s important to note that this exploit is only available to players with Nvidia graphics cards. AMD users can simulate the bug through AMD’s Adrenaline software instead of using CS2 console commands.
Valve has made efforts to curb bunnyhopping in official CS games by limiting maximum movement speed and penalizing poorly executed bhops. This is also the case in CS2, but when using the exploit, these limitations are completely removed.
While the exploit allows players to chain bunnyhops easily, it may not be worth it unless you are already skilled in bunnyhopping and want to use the exploit to perform consistently. The low FPS can be a significant disadvantage in combat, and the game itself may appear visually janky.
