Murmuring Obols are a currency used to purchase unidentified gear from the Purveyor of Curiosities. This gear provides a chance to obtain a legendary item, making it one of the best ways to target specific aspects.
Once players reach the maximum level or are satisfied with their gear, Murmuring Obols lose their value and become essentially useless. However, the player’s suggestion would address this issue.
Currently, one of the most challenging tasks is farming boss summoning materials, which can only be obtained during Helltides or other end-game events such as legion activities or defeating a world boss. This results in significant downtime between farming opportunities.
Implementing the player’s suggestion would give players an incentive to use murmuring obols once again. This would provide more options for quickly farming boss materials, which are necessary to summon the new bosses introduced in season two.
Players typically summon these bosses in hopes of obtaining Uber Unique gear tailored to their character’s class. By accelerating the ability to summon these bosses, players would have more opportunities to farm Uber Uniques in a shorter amount of time. This is a significant advantage for players seeking to optimize their builds.
