Death Knights in World of Warcraft: A Call for a New Starting Zone

Xavier Ward

Players of World of Warcraft (WoW) have been voicing their desire for a new starting zone for Death Knights, a class that has remained unchanged since the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in 2008. The current starting zone, the Secret Enclave in the Eastern Plaguelands, has become repetitive and outdated after almost 15 years.

One WoW player, u/Brago42, suggests that Death Knights should have the option to choose a new, more efficient starting zone while still being able to access the classic one. This would provide a fresh experience for players and align with the choices available to other races and classes in WoW.

While some players agree with this idea, others believe that Blizzard, the game’s developer, is unlikely to invest resources in creating a new starting zone for Death Knights. They argue that Blizzard’s focus is currently on the Dragonflight expansion and the introduction of the new Evoker class.

Although many players would appreciate the opportunity to level up their Death Knights in a different location, it seems unlikely that Blizzard will address this request.
