League of Legends Patch 13.21 brought significant changes to several champions, including Dr. Mundo, Rammus, Seraphine, and Tahm Kench. However, the upcoming Patch 13.22 will see some of these buffs and nerfs being reverted.
On October 31, Riot’s lead gameplay designer, Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, shared a preview of the upcoming patch, acknowledging that they had gone too far with these changes, particularly with Seraphine in the solo lane. Additional tuning adjustments can be expected for Dr. Mundo, Rammus, Seraphine, and Tahm Kench.
While the full list of changes is yet to be revealed, it is clear that Riot recognizes the need to address the imbalance caused by the previous patch. The focus will be on rectifying the excessive buffs given to Seraphine as a mid laner, as well as toning down the nerfs inflicted on Dr. Mundo, Rammus, and Tahm Kench.
In Patch 13.21, Seraphine’s win rate skyrocketed to an astonishing 55.48 percent in the bottom lane. However, these buffs did not have the desired effect on her performance as a mid laner, resulting in her being overpowered as an AP carry.
On the other hand, Rammus suffered from the changes, with his win rate plummeting from 53.65 percent to a mere 49.71 percent. This drastic drop transformed him from one of the top junglers into one of the weakest.
Patch 13.22 serves as another step towards preparing League players for the upcoming preseason, which is scheduled to commence on November 20. The preseason will introduce numerous changes, including a new split, significant jungle adjustments, and the highly anticipated removal of Mythic items. These changes promise to shake up the game and provide an exciting new experience for players.
