Mobius M. Mobius and Ravonna Renslayer Receive Major Updates
If you’ve been following the latest season of the Disney Plus series Loki, you’ll be excited to hear about the significant changes that have been made to two familiar characters in the Marvel Snap update. The latest patch also includes some quality of life improvements, such as enhancements to Spotlight Caches and the addition of voiceover to existing cards.
Marvel Snap Oct. 31 Update Patch Notes
One of the most notable changes in this update is the revamp of Mobius M. Mobius. Previously, his Ongoing card prevented your card costs from increasing and reduced your opponent’s costs. However, his ability has now been completely reworked. The new card text states, “On Reveal: Until the end of next turn, your Costs can’t be increased and your opponent’s Costs can’t be reduced.”
According to the patch notes released by Second Dinner on Discord, Mobius M. Mobius has had a significant impact on the metagame. Decks featuring powerful characters like Zabu, Sera, and Death have fallen out of favor in favor of decks that focus on playing cards for their normal Energy Costs. The developers anticipated this shift and planned to make adjustments to welcome cost reduction strategies back into the game.
Ravonna Renslayer has also received a positive change in this update. While her ability text remains the same (Ongoing: Your cards with one or less Power cost one less), her cost and power have been adjusted. She has gone from a three-cost, three-power character to a two-cost, one-power character. This adjustment aims to improve her performance, especially considering the impact of Mobius M. Mobius on her decks.
Another card that has undergone changes is Wave. Her power has increased from three to five, and her ability text has been modified. Previously, her ability caused all cards to cost four until the end of the next turn. Now, her ability states, “On Reveal: All cards cost a maximum of four until the end of next turn.” This change eliminates the increase in card costs and instead limits cards that originally cost five or more to a maximum of four. Additionally, her power has been improved from three/three to three/five.
Lastly, Negasonic Teenage Warhead has also seen adjustments. Her cost has remained the same at three, but her power has decreased from five to two. However, her ability has been enhanced. Instead of destroying both sides’ next card played, she now only destroys the enemy card played next.
