Riot Games has just dropped some thrilling spoilers for Teamfight Tactics Set 10. The upcoming set features exciting new traits like K/DA and Pentakill, as well as a unique twist on the Chosen mechanic called Headliners. But that’s not all – Riot has also created an incredible new music model for Remix Rumble, where players can become DJs and mash up epic tracks while building their winning comp.
Set 10 introduces a total of 10 to 12 genres of music, each represented by a different trait. As players activate these traits on the board, the music tracks mash up with existing ones, creating a one-of-a-kind experience in TFT. Lead composer Kole Hicks describes it as being a DJ, blending different tracks together to create something truly epic.
The music starts playing during the preparation stage, as champions are moved on and off the board. As traits are activated, the music overlaps in what may seem chaotic but is actually intentional. And when the battle begins, the music builds up to a climactic moment at the end of each combat round.
This musical collaboration in TFT Set 10 is the largest ever undertaken by Riot Games for the auto battler genre. Players can expect to hear a variety of genres, from 8-bit to EDM to Country, with champions like Jhin and Bard even having their own solos. Both K/DA and Pentakill have new songs based on existing ones in the Riot catalog.
The composers, Bill “Spiralbill” Hemstapat and J.D. Spears, share that there were accidental mishaps during the creation process that turned into fun mashups of tracks. For example, the Bard saxophone solo over the Heartsteel melody and the Violin Jhin solo over an EDM track were unexpected but memorable combinations.
Players will have the chance to experience this musical mashup when TFT Set 10 Remix Rumble hits the PBE servers in the second week of November. Get ready to unleash your inner DJ and create the ultimate soundtrack for your victorious comp!
