AD Junglers to Receive Buffs in League of Legends Patch 13.21

Xavier Ward

League of Legends’ latest patch, 13.20, brought significant changes to the game, particularly impacting AD junglers. However, the upcoming Patch 13.21 aims to address this issue and strengthen these champions.

Lead Gameplay Designer, Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, acknowledged that several AD champions are currently underpowered. The developers’ goal with Patch 13.21 is to rectify this by boosting their strength and addressing existing problems.

Phroxzon mentioned that certain tanks are too strong while many AD champions are too weak. To address this, Riot plans to restore the AD ratio to pet damage and make adjustments to healing, favoring flat values.

The list of champions set to receive buffs in Patch 13.21 includes Hecarim, Master Yi, Kha’Zix, and Bel’Veth, primarily focusing on AD junglers. However, other champions like LeBlanc, Varus, Morgana jungle, Tahm Kench top, and the recently reworked K’Sante will also receive improvements.

Specific details regarding the changes have not been revealed yet, but Riot intends to increase the power of each AD jungler and revert the pet AD ratio nerf. These adjustments are much-needed as the current win rates for these champions in the jungle are quite poor.

According to U.GG, Hecarim, Bel’Veth, and Master Yi rank among the worst junglers in terms of win rate in Platinum+ ranks. While they were performing well in Patch 13.19, their performance significantly declined in Patch 13.20.

Similarly, champions like K’Sante, LeBlanc, and Varus were already struggling in Patch 13.19, and the latest patch only worsened their situation.

Patch 13.21 is scheduled to launch on October 25th, providing a much-anticipated opportunity for AD junglers and other affected champions to regain their strength and viability in the game.
