Team BDS’ Adam has been putting on a show at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. After crushing Golden Guardians in the Qualifying Series, he came close to breaking a record with his signature pick.
In his match against Team Whales on Oct. 11, Adam chose his go-to champion Darius and completely dominated the game. He finished with an impressive 8/0/4 KDA, showcasing his unstoppable skills. Analyst QuickShot noted that Adam achieved the second-highest gold difference at 14 minutes for a top laner in Worlds history, accumulating 3,300 gold.
Adam’s performance is reminiscent of LNG Esports’ Ale at Worlds 2021, who holds the record with a 3,600 gold difference against INFINITY.
This is Adam’s second appearance at Worlds, having previously played with Fnatic. However, his previous experience ended in disappointment as Fnatic finished with a 1-5 record in their group.
With BDS expected to qualify from the Play-In stage as the only team from a major region, Adam has the opportunity to improve his record. However, they will need to overcome Team Whale and other opponents in their path.
