Apex Legends is teaming up with superstar Post Malone for an exciting collaboration, bringing a new limited-time mode called Three Strikes and a set of stylish cosmetics to the game. The Respawn Entertainment team worked closely with Post Malone to design the new skins, drawing inspiration from his music videos and concerts. While the cosmetics have a modern Earth vibe, they still fit seamlessly into the futuristic Outlands universe.
The collaboration introduces the new Iconic skin tier, featuring visuals for popular characters Octane, Horizon, Lifeline, and Wraith. These unique cosmetics will add a fresh and fashionable touch to your gameplay experience.
In addition to the cosmetics, Respawn is launching the Three Strikes LTM, a twist on the traditional battle royale mode. In this mode, each squad starts with three lives. If your squad gets wiped out, you’ll have the chance to skydive back into the arena, keeping some of your acquired items. However, if you die three times, you’ll be sent back to the lobby.
To amp up the chaos, players are invincible when downed in Three Strikes, and revives are much faster than usual. This means you can revive your teammates in the heat of battle without worrying about them being eliminated while downed. And if things go south, you can always dive back into the action as long as you have remaining strikes.
Respawn surprised fans with a taste of the Three Strikes mode in the latest season update. Players now retain their shields, helmets, and weapons when respawning, along with a few minor healing items. However, weapon attachments are lost in the process. In Three Strikes, your team will respawn with almost all your gear, including weapons, attachments, and Evo Shield progression. This strike system allows for more daring gameplay, with strikes acting as a safety net.
While the collaboration with Post Malone may seem unexpected, the superstar has shown his love for Apex Legends in the past. He streamed the game alongside iiTzTimmy and even raised a significant amount of money for charity while playing Apex.
Fans can look forward to diving into the Three Strikes mode and experiencing the Post Malone skins in-game starting on November 7th. Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping collaboration that combines the best of music and gaming in Apex Legends.
