Apex Legends Players Want Three Strikes Mode to be Permanent

Xavier Ward

Apex Legends players are loving the new Three Strikes mode and are calling for it to become a permanent feature in the game. Since its release alongside the Post Malone event on Nov. 7, players have been praising the mode for bringing back the joy and excitement of earlier seasons. The fast-paced gameplay and adjusted rules encourage more fighting, making it a breath of fresh air for the game.

The Three Strikes mode takes place in the usual battle royale maps with 20 squads of three players. However, death is not the end in this mode. Each player gets three lives and can respawn after losing one. Revive animations are shortened, and shield generation is automatic even without upgrades. The intense gameplay towards the end of a match adds to the excitement.

While some parts of the Post Malone event received mixed reviews, Three Strikes has been hailed as the event’s biggest success. Players have expressed that it is the most fun they’ve had in a while and have called for its permanent inclusion in the game. Although it is unlikely to become a permanent mode in this iteration, it may inspire developers to consider similar ideas in the future.
