Ashika Island in Warzone Gets Overwhelmed by Thick Fog During Halloween Event

Derek Morgan

During the ongoing Halloween event in Call of Duty, several maps, including the Warzone maps, have received a haunted makeover. However, one map, Ashika Island, has been hit particularly hard with a thick fog that has made it almost unplayable.

Ashika Island is a smaller map in Warzone and DMZ, known for its fast-paced action in Resurgence mode and high-octane missions. But with the recent update, the entire island has been engulfed in a dense fog, making it difficult for players to see what’s in front of them.

While other maps also received increased fog during the event, Ashika Island’s coastal setting already had some fog, making the situation even worse. Many Warzone players have described the map as “basically unplayable” because they can barely see anything.

DMZ players at least start on the ground, but for battle royale players who jump from the plane, the fog is so thick that they can’t see any features from above. Spotting enemies while falling through the fog is nearly impossible.

Although the thick fog adds to the Halloween theme of the event, it has caused players to avoid playing on Ashika Island, especially since it was already not a favorite among many players.
