Assassin’s Creed always offers players the freedom to choose their own approach. Recently, a Reddit user shared an impressive compilation of players taking down The Harbormaster in various ways in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
In the video, three assassins named the “Predator,” “Phantom,” and “Trickster” each showcase their unique playstyles. Their target is The Harbormaster, who is located on a rooftop alongside two guards.
The Predator kicks off the action by utilizing the new Assassin’s Focus mechanic. They throw a smoke bomb at The Harbormaster and swiftly eliminate both guards. With the smoke still obscuring visibility, they stealthily take down the main target.
This clip highlights the Assassin’s Focus ability, which replaces the old double-kill ability. In Mirage, enemies no longer need to be in pairs for this move to be executed. The player simply selects two targets, and Basim takes care of them.
The second player, known as the Phantom, employs a familiar tool to fans: sleep darts. They put both guards to sleep without alerting The Harbormaster and then eliminate him from behind.
Lastly, the Trickster opts for a more direct approach. They engage in a fierce battle, taking down one guard and leaving the other severely injured. The assassin cleverly leads The Harbormaster to baskets filled with red spices and ensures he strikes them with his axe. Amidst the resulting smoke, the player seizes the opportunity to eliminate all remaining enemies.
What excites me the most about Assassin’s Creed Mirage is its interactive environment. While similar elements existed in previous games, Baghdad promises to take it to a whole new level. I am confident that both myself and other players will discover even more unique ways to overcome our adversaries.
