An Astra player has discovered a bug that allows them to gain an unfair advantage in Iso’s ultimate duel. By placing stars in Iso’s interdimensional plane from below the map, the Astra player effectively turns the one-vs-one fight into a two-vs-one scenario. This gives the Iso player a significant advantage with additional utility like Nova Pulse or Gravity Well.
The bug occurs because the 3D space where the battle takes place is located below the VALORANT map. Astra can use her Astral Form to place stars anywhere, including this hidden location. The stars remain there even when Iso’s ultimate is not active, allowing Astra players to set up their utility before the round begins and activate it during the duel.
Once this bug was brought to light, players started discussing the potential impact of other abilities on Iso’s ultimate. Some wondered if Sova could use his ultimate to hit the zone, although it would require aiming straight down into the floor and guessing.
Considering the unfair advantage this bug provides, it is expected that Riot Games will patch it soon. Iso’s ultimate is designed to focus on one-on-one duels, and this bug undermines the intended balance of the agent. Winning one-on-one fights with good aim is crucial in VALORANT, and Iso’s ultimate should not make them significantly easier.
