Baldur’s Gate 3 is an exceptional game, but it has its flaws. One player has come up with a perfect solution to address one of the most annoying issues—the number of acts in the game. A Reddit user named brightblade13 shared their idea on Sept. 12 to divide the game into five acts instead of three. This change would greatly enhance the flow of the story and narration, and it’s hard to disagree with that.
According to brightblade13, the first act should primarily focus on resolving the problems in Goblin Camp and Druid Grove. The second act would then shift its attention to The Creche and Grymforge. The third act would remain as the long middle act, keeping Act Two intact. The fourth act would center around the outskirts of Baldur’s Gate and the lower city, while the final act would revolve around dealing with Gortash and the Absolute.
The current structure of the game can be a bit off-putting. For instance, when players reach the Underdark, they may feel disinterested as they realize it’s just another part of Act One. This realization can dampen the excitement and make the game’s length seem daunting. By dividing the game into five acts, the pacing would improve significantly, resulting in a more engaging narrative. Many players agree with this sentiment, as evident from the flood of comments supporting brightblade13’s idea.
