Baldur’s Gate 3 Speedrunners Discover New Method to Beat the Game in Under 4 Minutes

superadmin

The Baldur’s Gate 3 speedrunning community has made an astonishing breakthrough, managing to complete the game in less than four minutes. This new method involves playing as Gale, swiftly escaping the Nautiloid, eliminating Shadowheart at the Ruined Battlefield, and stashing her in a chest. By placing the chest in their inventory, players trigger one of Gale’s devious endings. Although it may seem like a cheesy tactic, it is currently the most efficient way to speedrun Baldur’s Gate 3.

While the entire community collaborated to uncover this glitch, it is speedrunner ImTaiyl who currently holds the world record. On September 4th, they completed the game in an astounding three minutes and 57 seconds. ImTaiyl expressed their astonishment and excitement in the video description, stating that they have no intention of stopping their speedrunning journey.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 speedrunners have come a long way since Mae’s initial achievement of completing the game in 10 minutes and three seconds on August 15th. However, it is highly likely that the community will continue to discover even faster methods to beat the game.

This is especially true considering that Larian Studios plans to release Baldur’s Gate 3 on PlayStation 5 on Wednesday, September 6th, attracting a wave of new players. Additionally, the developer aims to release the game for Xbox before the end of 2023.
