Bethesda has just released a new mobile game called The Elder Scrolls: Castles, surprising fans of the franchise. Unfortunately, it’s not the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls 6, but it still offers an enjoyable gaming experience.
The Elder Scrolls series has been a long-standing success for Bethesda, with numerous titles and DLC packs released over the past 25 years. The latest addition, The Elder Scrolls: Castles, is a mobile RPG where players can construct their own castle, develop their Kingdom, and defend it from enemies. The game bears a striking resemblance to Fallout Shelter, another popular title from Bethesda.
This release came as a complete surprise, as Bethesda had not announced or promoted the game prior to its launch. In fact, as of September 28th, it is not even listed on their official website. Currently, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is only available on Android devices in the United States. Players from other regions or those with Apple devices will have to wait for a potential future release.
The gameplay of The Elder Scrolls: Castles is similar to Fallout Shelter, where players construct rooms and assign citizens to gather resources and expand their Kingdom. However, this game also allows players to establish rules for their Kingdom and embark on exciting quests, all while maintaining the beloved Elder Scrolls aesthetic.
If you are a fan of the Elder Scrolls franchise or enjoyed playing Fallout Shelter, The Elder Scrolls: Castles may be worth checking out. While it doesn’t revolutionize the genre, it provides a fun mobile gaming experience while we eagerly await the release of The Elder Scrolls 6.
