A strange bug in Apex Legends has left players puzzled and searching for answers. The bug involves players getting launched across the map while in a downed state after entering a trident vehicle. Despite various theories, the exact cause of the bug remains unknown.
On September 26, a video was posted on Reddit showing a player being sent flying across the map as soon as they entered a trident. The community has speculated about possible explanations, including a frame-perfect bullet or a glitch related to the trident itself.
One theory suggested that the bug occurred because the player entered the trident while already downed, causing the game to panic and teleport them to the middle of the map. Each map has an origin point determined by the developers, and when the game encounters a bug, it often teleports players to this point.
Upon closer examination of the footage, a gunshot can be heard just before the player enters the trident. The kill feed also indicates that the player was downed by a Wingman. However, the timing of the gunshot does not align perfectly with the player’s entry into the trident, making this theory somewhat uncertain.
Regardless of the exact cause, it seems that the game’s response to the bug is to send players to the center of the map as a contingency plan when it doesn’t know what else to do.
The Apex Legends community continues to speculate and search for answers, hoping for a resolution to this bizarre bug.
