During the launch of Set 10 in Teamfight Tactics, a bug was discovered that gave a tier-one Karthus infinite mana. Pro player sètsuko stumbled upon this game-breaking bug while preparing for the TFT Vegas LAN Open. The bug caused Karthus to have a maximum mana of 10 instead of the intended 120.
In TFT, game developers strive to prevent any single champion from becoming too powerful and wiping out an entire enemy team, even if it’s a three-star tier-five champion. Karthus, a tier-four champion, deals magic damage to the five lowest health enemies and gains 10 mana when one of them dies. However, sètsuko’s Karthus had a mana of 0/10, indicating the bug likely originated from a Set 10 Augment.
While examining the Augments chosen for the game, sètsuko noticed an Emo trait support Augment called Emotional Connection. This Augment is supposed to grant allies of Emo champions 60 percent of the Emo mana bonus when an ally dies. It is possible that this Emo Augment contains a rare bug, but the exact cause of the issue has not been confirmed at this time.
Players are advised to be vigilant for any similar bugs and report them to Riot Games. However, it is important not to exploit the bug repeatedly, as doing so may result in account suspension.
