Players of Overwatch 2 have noticed a frustrating bug that prevents them from checking the scoreboard during and after the Play of the Game (POTG). This issue has left many wondering if it was an intentional change and questioning its purpose.
On October 18, a player expressed their frustration with not being able to view the scoreboard after the game ends. Let’s face it, we all like to glance at the stats at the end of a match. Now, players are forced to go to their match history, which is inconvenient to say the least.
The good news is that this is a bug and can be fixed by endorsing two of your teammates. Once endorsements are given out, you will regain access to the scoreboard. Several players, including myself, can confirm that this fix works.
It seems that this bug only affects PC players due to the Tab key. When endorsements become available, the Tab key reverts back to its basic function of selecting and highlighting the endorsement button. This conflicts with the game’s keybind to open the scoreboard, thus preventing access.
Initially, some players believed this was an intentional update aimed at reducing toxicity in post-games. However, it is hoped that Blizzard will address this issue in the coming weeks, as many fans are left more frustrated than facing an Orisa with Bastion.
While it’s true that the scoreboard doesn’t provide the full picture, it is often interesting to see how well you performed compared to your opponents in terms of damage, healing, and personal hero percentages. Therefore, it is understandable why players, especially those who play competitively, are angry about this bug.
