Call of Duty Developers to Grant Retroactive Battle Pass Progress for Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Players

Derek Morgan

Call of Duty developers have announced that they will be providing retroactive progress towards the season six battle pass for players who have been affected by a glitch in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. This comes as great news for those who have been battling the undead in Urzikstan. The progress will be granted soon, although an exact date has not been specified.

Earlier today, a fix was rolled out for the battle pass XP issue, and players will soon receive the XP they would have earned for their time played in matches from the game’s launch until the fix was deployed. Tokens used during this time will also be refunded.

The lack of battle pass experience has been a major problem for Zombies players since the release of Modern Warfare 3. End-of-match battle pass XP has been inconsistent or non-existent for the past week. Today’s fix for the XP progression bug is a step in the right direction, and the retroactive XP will help compensate for the lost progress.

It is especially important as season six is coming to a close and the first season of Modern Warfare 3 is just over two weeks away. Players who have already put in the effort over the past week will now have the refunded battle pass XP to help them reach their goals. The official Call of Duty Updates account will provide updates on when the XP will be granted.

In addition to the battle pass XP fix, today’s patch also addressed several other major bugs in Zombies. These include issues with players being automatically pulled into story missions and a glitch that prevented operators from successfully extracting.

However, the patch also nerfed hordes at exfil zones, which has drawn criticism from parts of the community. The studio’s reasoning for the change was stability issues, but it also removed a quick and common method of obtaining XP. Despite this, the patch was largely positive and addressed many disruptive issues.

Players who are waiting for the battle pass refund should keep an eye on official channels such as the CoDUpdates Twitter account, TreyarchCM on Reddit, and the public CoD support Trello board for updates on when the XP will be granted.
