Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone’s classic Verdansk map can rejoice as it is set to make a comeback soon. The developers of Warzone Mobile announced at CoD Next that the mobile version of the game, featuring both Verdansk and Rebirth Island, will be launched worldwide in spring 2024.
Warzone Mobile is currently available in limited release in certain regions, but the game will be accessible to everyone with both maps in the spring. This is exciting news for CoD fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
In addition, Warzone Mobile will have cross-progression with battle passes in the mainline games on console and PC. This means that players can rank up and unlock rewards across different CoD games.
Ever since Verdansk was replaced with Caldera in Warzone 1 in 2021, fans have been clamoring for its return. While it will be in mobile form, there is still hope that it may make a comeback in the new Warzone as well.
At CoD Next, players have been drawing comparisons between Warzone’s new map, Urzikstan, and Verdansk due to their similar urban layout, abundance of buildings, and overall aesthetic. PC and console players will have to make do with Urzikstan until its launch later this year, while mobile players will soon be able to experience Verdansk once again.
Warzone Mobile is set to launch a few months after MW3, which is scheduled for release on November 10.
