Legendary T1 mid laner Faker has never lost a game to a North American team at the League of Legends World Championship. But Cloud9 is determined to change that.
Faker’s record against NA teams at Worlds is an impressive 12-0, dating back to his first win against an LCS squad in 2013. He has consistently dominated North American teams, including a recent close call against Team Liquid.
If we include matches outside of Worlds, Faker’s record against NA teams becomes even more astounding at 27-1. The only loss he has suffered against a North American team was at MSI 2016 when CLG defeated SKT.
When it comes to Cloud9, Faker has never lost. He holds a perfect 7-0 record against them since 2014. The only NA team he has more wins against is TSM, with eight victories.
On October 22nd, Cloud9 will have the opportunity to end Faker’s unbeaten streak against NA teams at Worlds. They will face off in a best-of-one game, hoping to finally defeat the Demon King.
It will be a highly anticipated match, as Cloud9 aims to make history and prove that they can compete with the best. Can they break Faker’s dominance and secure a victory? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned for the clash between Cloud9 and T1, as the battle for supremacy unfolds on the Worlds stage.
