Counter-Strike 2 players are flooding the Premier mode, but they are not happy with the rating system. They believe it is broken and needs adjustments before the game’s official release.
One player, saktrop, shared screenshots showing the points gained and lost in a Premier game on Sept. 10. The screenshots revealed that winning only gave them 121 points, while losing deducted a whopping 408 points. To make matters worse, they were matched against players with higher ratings.
Players in the comments shared their theories about the rating system. Many believe that consecutive wins result in fewer points gained and more points lost in the next victory. Conversely, consecutive losses lead to fewer points lost and more points gained in subsequent defeats.
While this theory seems to be the prevailing one, some players claim that their experience with the rating system is more random.
Players are hoping for fixes and clarification of the system before the game’s release, which is expected in the next two weeks. Valve has been actively working on updates and fixes, giving players hope for improvement.
In addition to the rating system, players have also provided feedback on unfair lobby pairing. However, with Valve’s dedication to addressing issues, there is optimism for a better matchmaking experience.
