Counter-Strike 2 players have stumbled upon a comical movement glitch after the recent update on October 10th. This glitch allows players to showcase the iconic glide of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, leaving their opponents astonished.
In a Reddit post on October 10th, a user named u/thekappa27 shared a video clip of the Michael Jackson peek in CS2, which had the community in stitches. The clip shows a player scoping in, and suddenly an enemy appears in the scope, leaning forward with their upper body ahead of their legs. And guess who emerges victorious from the encounter? None other than our beloved MJ.
The move was executed so flawlessly that one player referred to the enemy who performed it as a “Smooth Criminal,” in reference to one of MJ’s most iconic compositions. The community couldn’t help but join in on the fun. “Okay, this is the worst one yet, but I can’t stop laughing,” read one popular comment, reminding us of all the bizarre CS2 movement glitches we’ve encountered.
If you’re curious about how to perform the Smooth Criminal or Michael Jackson peek in CS2, we’ve got you covered. According to players who have successfully replicated the bug, it occurs when you sprint at full speed with an AWP and then quickly scope in. It’s important to note that this is a visual glitch and may not happen every time you attempt it. Additionally, it seems that this glitch can only be replicated with the AWP and not with any other weapon.
However, a player named u/DarkStunter on Reddit discovered that you can consistently perform the Michael Jackson peek by using an analog keyboard.
Valve, the game’s developer, has yet to acknowledge the presence of this bug, but it is expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch. Interestingly, many players are not eager to see the Michael Jackson peek removed from CS2 because it adds a touch of wholesomeness to the game. “This glitch is so good that I can’t even be mad,” one player remarked, and we wholeheartedly agree.
Personally, I would relish the opportunity to be a “smooth criminal” against my enemies before Valve removes Michael Jackson from CS2. Hee hee.
