CS2’s latest update brings a game-changing feature for players who dislike the 10-second bomb timer music kit. Instead of relying on the music, players will now hear a distinct beep indicating the remaining time to defuse the bomb. This update also includes improvements to footstep clarity and reduced sound fall-off distances for knife kills.
While these changes are welcomed by the community, they do not address the concerns raised by professional players at IEM Sydney regarding peeker’s advantage and other game sound issues. However, due to the significant changes in the update, players at the event will not be playing on the latest patch to avoid disrupting their strategies.
