A number of professional Counter-Strike players are expressing their disappointment with CS2, the new game released by Valve. Many top-tier pros, including G2’s NiKo and ENCE’s Snappi, are calling for improvements to be made to the game, citing issues with gameplay and bugs.
During an interview with HLTV, NiKo expressed his concerns about CS2, stating that the game feels “weird” and that there are many things that need to be fixed. He hopes that Valve will be responsive and supportive in addressing these issues.
One of the main criticisms from pros is the implementation of MR12, a system where regulation only lasts a maximum of 24 rounds instead of the usual 30. Snappi described this change as “dumbing down” Counter-Strike. He also highlighted other issues with the game, such as movement and audio, which he believes are affecting the overall gameplay experience.
Despite their reservations, the pros understand that they will need to adapt to the changes in CS2. Valve is likely to keep most of the new features, including MR12, so players will have to adjust sooner rather than later.
