Deadlock and Iso Prove to be Winners in VALORANT Premier Season

Tim Price

Despite their low pick rates, Deadlock and Iso have emerged as the top-performing agents in the current VALORANT Premier season. According to Blitz.gg, after just two weeks of Episode Seven, Act Three, these agents have the highest win percentages. While Iso has a moderate pick rate of 1.9 percent, Deadlock lags behind with a mere 0.4 percent.

Iso’s middling pick rate can be attributed to its recent introduction, making it less favored among players. However, this unfamiliarity can work to its advantage, catching opponents off guard. With its versatile abilities such as Vulnerable, a bulletproof wall, and a powerful ultimate for retakes, Iso proves to be a valuable asset in competitive play.

Deadlock, on the other hand, presents an intriguing case. Despite her seemingly underwhelming kit, there are aspects that can benefit a Premier team. Barrier Mesh can effectively slow down enemy executes and retakes, while the Annihilation ultimate excels in one-on-one situations.

However, the limited utility of GravNet and Sonic Sensor keeps Deadlock’s pick rate low, even after recent buffs to GravNet. As her pick rate remains low, her Premier sample size is also limited, making it difficult to determine her overall effectiveness. In contrast, agents with higher pick rates, such as Omen, Jett, Sova, and Killjoy, maintain win rates close to 50 percent.

Agent Pick Rate Win Rate
Omen 15.2% 51.3%
Jett 14.8% 50.7%
Sova 12.6% 49.9%
Killjoy 11.9% 50.4%
Iso 1.9% 56.2%
Deadlock 0.4% 57.8%
