Spectators of Dota 2’s The International 12 group stages are facing difficulties while using the Dota TV client to watch matches. Lagging, freezing, and prediction errors have been reported, making spectating nearly impossible. However, Valve has released a patch to address these issues, improving the stability of the client and fixing bugs.
The patch, which is 200 MB in size, resolves the lagging and freezing problems that spectators were experiencing. It also allows spectators to make predictions using Dota TV’s tools once again. Additionally, minor bugs, such as the infinite Rolling Boulder caused by the interaction between Earth Spirit’s Rolling Boulder and Centaur’s Work Horse, have been fixed.
On the first day of the group stages, many frustrated fans had to resort to watching the matches through other platforms like Twitch and YouTube due to the instability of the Dota TV client. However, with the recent patch, spectators can now enjoy the matches without visual quality drops and with in-game spoiler prevention tools.
Despite the technical issues, the group stages have begun, and the results of the first day are as follows:
Time | Match | Score |
---|---|---|
10:00 AM | Team A vs Team B | 2-1 |
12:00 PM | Team C vs Team D | 1-2 |
2:00 PM | Team E vs Team F | 2-0 |
Now that the technical issues have been resolved, the second day of the group stages is set to begin. Stay updated with our Road to the International schedule for the latest TI updates and daily results.
