Square Enix has released the demo for Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince on the Nintendo Switch, two weeks ahead of its official launch on December 1st.
Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince is a monster-filled fantasy world where players capture creatures similar to Pokémon. Unlike the traditional damsel in distress storyline, players take on the role of Psaro, a cursed character who cannot kill anything with monster blood. Instead, Psaro must capture and train monsters to build an army and become the Master of Monsterkind.
If you’re still unsure about the game, you can download the demo now from Nintendo’s eShop. The demo will give you a taste of what it’s like to capture monsters, explore the world, and engage in battles using your trained monsters.
The official Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince monster showcase trailer provides more information about Psaro, the game’s world, and the 500-plus monsters available for capture. The trailer also explains how synthesizing monsters works to create new and unique creatures.
While the exact content of the demo is unknown, it is likely to cover the first hour or two of the story. Preordering and preloading the game will allow you to play it immediately upon its release on December 1st. Depending on the version you preorder, you may also receive additional bonuses such as Beastie Bites and the Warrior’s Ring to aid you in your adventures.
