The VALORANT Game Changers event is once again marred by drama and controversy as an unsigned team, noot noot, faces accusations of cheating. During their match against Complexity GX3, a lengthy tech pause led to Riot Anti-Cheat flagging the team, resulting in a forfeit loss and a full investigation by Riot Competitive Operations. This incident has sparked anger within the VALORANT Game Changers community, with members of other teams openly mocking noot noot for their alleged cheating.
The Shopify Rebellion team, who finished second at the global Game Changers Championship last year, ridiculed noot noot for defeating them while supposedly cheating. SR’s coach robwiz called their actions “beyond pathetic.” Similarly, Disguised Toast, a prominent figure in the community, expressed his frustration after his team was eliminated by noot noot, stating that it is disheartening to invest time and money into developing a roster only to lose to a team disqualified for cheating.
In addition to the accusations of cheating, noot noot also faced criticism for losing to Version1, a team consisting of former C9 White players, in the open qualifier. This further fueled the backlash against noot noot.
As a result of the investigation, noot noot has been disqualified, and Complexity GX3 has been awarded the victory, advancing in the lower bracket. The outcome of the Riot team’s full investigation is still pending.
