Minecraft YouTuber Dream is facing new allegations of grooming. In 2022, he was accused of sexting minors, and now he is being accused again. Dream took to Twitter to deny these allegations and announced that he is working on a video to address everything.
Back in October 2022, the hashtag #DreamIsAFreak gained popularity when Dream was accused of inappropriate behavior towards minors. He responded on his private account, stating that he was tired of false accusations. He has once again denied the new allegations through a statement on Twitter, emphasizing that he is not a pedophile and did not groom anyone. He promises to provide a comprehensive explanation in his upcoming video.
Dream is currently working on a video to respond to all the ongoing allegations, considering it a matter of utmost seriousness.
The latest accusation was made by a Twitter account named b88221141 on November 18. The account claims to be run by two individuals and asserts that all posted information is factually accurate. It also states that evidence has been passed on to the Orange County Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The account shared videos allegedly containing explicit messages and sexual sounds from Dream, which were sent to a minor when he was 20 years old.
Dream responded to this accusation on his private account on November 20, denying ever sexting anyone underage. He believes that the person making these allegations harbors animosity towards him and questions their mental stability. It is important to note that discrediting supposed victims in this manner is a common tactic used by abusers. However, at this stage, these are all accusations that cannot be proven. Dot Esports has reached out to Dream’s management for comment.
Recently, Twitter has seen the emergence of Dream-themed memes where users claim it is their birthday and they are turning an age below 18. They then share a fake screenshot of Dream following them. Dream references this trend in his denial.
