Earn a Rare Master Ball in Pokémon Go by Completing Research Tasks

superadmin

Pokémon Go players have the opportunity to earn a coveted Master Ball by completing the new Master Ball Research. However, some players are unhappy with one particular task that requires them to complete 60 raids.

Niantic has only released two Master Balls in Pokémon Go so far. The second one is currently available as part of the Timed Investigation Research in the Season of Adventures Abound, which started on September 1st. To obtain this Master Ball, players must complete 10 Research tasks by November 21st.

One of these tasks, however, has caused frustration among players. The requirement to complete 60 raids is seen as excessive by those who do not regularly participate in raids or prefer not to spend money on Remote Raid passes. This task has become a major obstacle for players aiming to obtain the highly sought-after Master Ball.

A Reddit post from September 5th highlighted this issue, with a player expressing their difficulty in finding enough people to join them in raids, even though they live in New York City. This raises concerns about the accessibility of raiding in smaller cities where player populations may be limited.

Other players also voiced their dissatisfaction with the raiding task, stating that it would prevent them from completing the Research. Some players mentioned their lack of availability to physically go to a gym for raids, while others expressed their unwillingness to purchase 60 remote passes.

While players acknowledged the overall difficulty of the Research, with tasks such as making 120 Excellent Throws, hatching 30 Eggs, and walking 50 kilometers, raiding 60 times seemed particularly challenging. However, it appears that Niantic intends to encourage players to engage more with the game and explore their surroundings, as Pokémon Go was designed to promote outdoor activity.

In conclusion, the opportunity to earn a Master Ball in Pokémon Go through Research tasks is exciting for players. However, the requirement to complete 60 raids has sparked frustration among those who do not regularly participate in raids or have limited access to raiding opportunities. Niantic’s intention may be to encourage players to be more active and explore their surroundings, but it has become a significant hurdle for some players in their quest for the Master Ball.
