Easily Beat Sinistcha Tera Raid with This Trick

superadmin

Sinistcha, the highly sought-after Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC, can be a valuable addition to your collection. Obtaining its rare Masterpiece form can be done by evolving Poltchageist or defeating it in a Tera Raid. Luckily, players have discovered a simple method to conquer this raid.

If you come across a Sinistcha Tera Raid in Kitakami, take note of this helpful tip shared by fellow players. Equip your Pokémon with Safety Goggles as a held item. This will significantly ease the raid battle.

Safety Goggles is an item that protects the holder from weather damage and moves like Spore or Stun Spore. It proves particularly useful against Grass-type Pokémon such as Amoonguss and Sinistcha, as they tend to rely on annoying moves like Spore or Stun Spore. In the case of a Sinistcha Tera Raid, utilizing Safety Goggles is crucial because the AI frequently attempts to paralyze your Pokémon with Stun Spore.

According to a Reddit post, Sinistcha will persistently use Stun Spore throughout the raid, despite its ineffectiveness for the majority of the battle. Therefore, you need not worry about taking damage, except for the occasional Matcha Gotcha attack.

This strategy of tricking the Tera Raid AI is not limited to Sinistcha alone. Players have observed similar patterns with raid bosses that aim to lower your Pokémon’s stats.

For instance, Basculegion constantly tries to decrease your Pokémon’s Speed with Scary Face. To counter this, equip your Pokémon with the Clear Amulet, which prevents stat drops, instead of the Safety Goggles.

By doing so, while Basculegion wastes time using Scary Face, you can focus on steadily depleting its health bar until victory is achieved.

The key lies in recognizing the AI’s patterns and tendencies during Tera Raids, and finding ways to outsmart them.

Next time you find yourself in a Tera Raid, consider equipping your Pokémon with specific held items or moves that can manipulate the AI into making foolish decisions, ultimately making your battle easier.
