Elon Musk’s live stream of Diablo 4 on Twitter has skyrocketed to the top of the charts, attracting a massive viewership. The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, known for his innovative ventures, took to Twitter (now X) on October 2nd to showcase the platform’s streaming capabilities, captivating an astounding audience in the process.
With over 2.5 million viewers, Musk’s adventures in Diablo 4 gained significant attention, despite a slow start where he spent the initial five minutes playfully questioning if he sounded like a chipmunk. It took him 13 minutes to enter a dungeon, but this did not deter the eager audience. People were intrigued to witness the world’s wealthiest individual spend his time playing one of the most highly anticipated RPGs of the year.
Musk’s stream title reflected his intention to test the platform, which encountered some initial hiccups. It remains unclear whether these issues were due to the platform itself or the PC he was using. However, equipped with a Werewolf Druid build, Musk demonstrated his gaming prowess and encountered minimal obstacles while clearing the first dungeon. He even reached level 100, the maximum level in Diablo 4.
Despite the immense viewership, not all members of the game’s community were thrilled with Musk’s venture. Some fans on Reddit jokingly interpreted it as a sign to give up on the game altogether. Although Diablo 4 had a successful launch, it struggled to retain players due to a lack of endgame content. However, the upcoming release of season two later this month may spark a mini-revival.
