After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that Emil ‘Larssen’ Larsson, the highly sought-after free agent in the LEC, will be staying with Infinity Reality for the upcoming 2024 League of Legends season.
Larssen’s decision to remain with the team comes as a relief to fans and the organization, as there were rumors of him considering offers from other teams. The uncertainty surrounding his future had caused quite a stir within the League of Legends community.
Infinity Reality, formerly known as KOI, had a challenging year in 2023, finishing in lower positions in various tournaments. However, Larssen’s commitment to the team provides a glimmer of hope for their future success.
While Larssen’s decision is settled, the fate of the rest of the roster remains uncertain. Following the dissolution of the partnership between KOI and Infinite Reality, it is unclear which players will stay and who will seek opportunities elsewhere.
Two other members of the ex-KOI roster, Geun-seon ‘Malrang’ Kim (jungler) and Hendrik ‘Advienne’ Reijenga (support), are also nearing the end of their contracts. Whether they will continue with Infinity Reality or explore other options is yet to be determined.
As the team moves forward into the 2024 season, there are many decisions to be made, including finalizing the starting roster and determining the team’s branding strategy. With Ibai retaining the rights to the KOI branding, it is likely that Infinity Reality will revert to their original name, Rogue.
