Enchanters, the despised yet powerful champions in League of Legends, are getting some exciting changes in the upcoming preseason. Riot Games is introducing new options that will enhance their damage and sustain, aiming to bring them back into the meta. These changes include an overhaul of the item system and a massive transformation of Summoner’s Rift itself.
One significant change is the removal of Chemtech Purifier, an item similar to Morellonomicon that provided enchanters with grievous wounds. In its place, a new starting item called Glowing Mote will be introduced. Priced at 250 gold, it offers five ability haste, compensating for the lack of this stat in the new World Atlas core support item.
Enchanters will also have access to a new legendary item called Dawncore. This item combines the empowering heal and shield power of the old Mythic enchanter passive into one core item. It provides an additional three-percent heal and shield power, five ability power per 100-percent mana regeneration, and grants 18 summoner spell haste. Dawncore costs 2,700 gold and requires two Bandleglass Mirrors and 700 additional gold as components.
Echoes of Helia, a recently introduced support item, will receive a small buff to its base stats and a rework to its unique Soul Siphon passive. Players can now hold up to three shards, which can be used to heal or shield an ally champion. Each shard consumed will heal the ally for 20 health and deal 55 magic damage to a nearby enemy champion. This change encourages more aggressive playstyles.
Staff of Flowing Waters, previously similar to Ardent Censer, will now provide bonus effects to the item’s owner instead of an ally. Healing or shielding an ally will grant the caster 40 ability power and a ten-percent bonus movement speed for three seconds. This makes it a more aggressive option not only for enchanters but also for champions like Nidalee, who can heal themselves.
In addition to these new items, players can expect powerful combinations with the removal of Mythic items in the upcoming season. These changes will be available for testing on the PBE starting tomorrow. Get ready to explore new strategies and unleash the full potential of enchanters in League of Legends.
