Riot Games has released a multitude of skins for League of Legends over the past decade, but their latest drop has left fans feeling let down. Players have expressed their disappointment over the reuse of visual effects from another skin in the new Coven skin line.
The community has specifically pointed out that Nilah’s Coven skin shares strikingly similar visual effects with Morgana’s Coven skin. The visual effects for Nilah’s abilities closely resemble those of Morgana’s Dark Binding ability, from the color scheme to the design within. This lack of originality has sparked criticism among players.
In addition to the recycled visual effects, there are other issues with the new Coven skins. Players have complained about Nami’s stiff auto animations, questioned Akali’s fit within the Coven universe, and overall feel that the skin line lacks polish and feels incomplete. Many fans believe that the potential of each skin was not fully realized.
Riot Games has yet to address the community’s feedback on the new skin line, but it is possible that changes may be made in response to the outcry.
