Festival of the Lost Exotic Armor Changes Teased for Destiny 2 Season 23

Xavier Ward

Destiny 2 players were in for a surprise when Festival of the Lost began on Oct. 17. Some Exotic armor pieces had their descriptions updated, although Bungie confirmed that this was unintentional. However, they also revealed that more changes are on the way in Season 23.

The Destiny 2 team addressed the issue on Reddit, stating that these changes were shown earlier than planned and that they are just a small part of the larger tweaks coming to all classes. This is exciting news, as it suggests significant sandbox changes and more opportunities for build crafting.

The Exotic gear that received updated descriptions includes Shards of Galanor, Celestian Nighthawk, ST0MP-EE5, Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves, Synthoceps, and Karnstein Armlets. Most of them are expected to receive buffs next season, although the extent of these buffs is yet to be revealed.

Bungie clarified that despite the updated descriptions, the functionality of these Exotics remains the same, except for Young Ahamkara’s Spine and Antaeus Wards, which were officially mentioned in the v7.2.5 patch notes.

As a Hunter main, I am particularly excited to rediscover the Solar Exotics, but I am also curious about the changes planned for other classes. With Season 23 set to include updates to Stasis, I hope to see improvements to armor like Ballidorse Wrathweavers.
