The upcoming playable character, Furina, is set to shake things up in Genshin Impact with her unpredictable nature and unique abilities. As the ruler of Fontaine, she is known for her mischief, and her leaked skills suggest that she will completely change the dynamics of underwater combat.
Fontaine introduced a new underwater combat system, which restricted players from using their character’s abilities. Instead, they had to rely on absorbing the abilities of Xenochromatic creatures, which could be frustrating. However, Furina is determined to defy these rules and transform underwater combat with her skillset.
According to leaks, Furina’s elemental skill allows her to summon three special allies called Salon Members. These Hydro-themed companions include an octopus-shaped Gentilhomme Usher, a seahorse-shaped Surintendante Chevalmarin, and an armored crab-shaped Mademoiselle Crabaletta.
When Furina uses this skill and dives underwater, her aquatic friends will follow her and engage in combat against hostile creatures. This means players no longer have to search for Xenochromatic creatures and can rely solely on Furina’s allies to handle any threats while they observe the action.
As the Archon of Hydro, Furina possesses immense power over water, making her abilities more godlike compared to other playable characters. Having three formidable allies to assist in underwater combat may seem overpowered, but it aligns with Furina’s storyline and her mastery of Hydro.
While this leaked ability is potent, there are limitations. Players must wait 30 seconds before casting it again, and they need to resurface to activate the skill. Consequently, it may not be usable in all underwater combat scenarios, but it remains valuable for most encounters.
Furina’s elemental skill lasts approximately 30 seconds, and players can dolphin jump out of the water to recast it, taking advantage of her Fontaine character traits. Additionally, she can walk on water with this ability, eliminating the need to return to land to reactivate the skill.
Exploring the underwater areas of Fontaine can be enjoyable, but combat can often be frustrating. Furina’s inclusion as a playable character will provide a convenient solution for those seeking to avoid challenging underwater fights. Each Archon introduced as a playable character possesses unique abilities, and Furina seems poised to continue this trend.
While the Genshin leak community is generally reliable, we can only confirm Furina’s skillset once she officially debuts as a playable character. The Hydro Archon is expected to arrive in the Version 4.2 update, although it remains uncertain whether she will be available in phase one or phase two. Players can anticipate her arrival around November 8 or November 29.
